June 24, 2009: It is the day after Liu Xiaobo was arrested. Myself along with hundreds of others marched and protested. The police tried to stop us, but we protested harder. We were protesting and petitioning for Liu's release. He was wrongfully arrested for preaching peace, and now I, along with other individuals of like minds are saccrificing our freedom in exchange for his. For now I hope everyone involved stays safe.
Sincerely,
Terrance Thomas
June 25, 2009: Today I spoke at a peace rally. I was attempting to follow in Xiaobo's footsteps, though I know I could very well be arrested as well. About 100 people showed up, not the numbers I would like, but it's something. I hope to spark a revival in this generation, but I am limited by the opressive government that seem to want to crush any "dangerous thinking" that I or anyone else does. They fear rebellion, but that's not what this is about. I wish I could make them understand that this is about love and peace and saftey, not power. But untill they understand, I am risking my freedom to spread the message.
Sincerely,
Terrance Thomas
June 26, 2009: The government caught up with me and a few others at yet another protest. We were arrested for disrupting the peace. I hope they don't throw a "subversion of state power" charge on me for spaking at that rally. I'm so nervous right now. I can't take 10 years in prison. I'll find out more on my court appearance on July 1st.

July 1st: They added the subversion of state power charge and I was sentenced to 5 years in prison. I wish I was like Xiaobo and didn't hold a grudge against these people but I do. I feel betrayed by my own country and I feel like a victim. These next 5 years wont be very enjoyable for me, but I plan on using the time to think about better ways to spread my message. I know I wont let this arrest stop me, only slow me down. Maybe the country will change one day while i'm locked away in here, I doubt it though.Well, goodbye for the lat time,
Terrance Thomas
